Karystino

The white grape variety originates from Greece. Synonyms are Caristiano Rouge, Charistina, Karistiana, Karistiana Rouge, Karistiana Vert, Karistino and Sgarraparete. The parentage is unknown. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2013, it is (possibly) a parent of the Savatiano variety. The vine has red-coloured berries and is used as a wine grape variety and table grape. No stock was reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
