The white grape variety (also Katsamon) comes from Greece. According to carried out in 2007 DNA analysis there is a close relationship with the variety Platani, The parentage is unknown. The early ripening, low-yielding vine is resistant to diseases. It produces a flowery, rather low-acid white wine with aromas of lemon and honey. The variety is in the Cyclades (especially Santorini ) grown. In 2010, however, no stocks were shown (Statistics Kym Anderson ).
