Katsano

The white grape (also Katsamon) comes from Greece. According to carried out in 2007 DNA analysis There is a close relationship to the variety Platani, The descent (parenthood) is unknown. The early-ripening, low-yielding vine is resistant to disease. It produces a flowery, rather low-acid white wine with aromas of lemon and honey. The variety is in on the Cyclades (especially Santorini ) grown. In 2010, however, no stocks were reported (Statistics Kym Anderson ).
