The winery "Domaine Katsaros" is located in the municipality of Kraniá at the foot of Mount Olympus in the Greek region of Thessaly. It was founded in 1978 by the doctor Dr. Dimitrios Katsarós. He was one of the first to plant international varieties there, such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. But indigenous vines are also cultivated. The Eeinberge vineyards cover nine hectares. The vineyards are cultivated according to the rules of organic viticulture. The flagship is the long-lived red wine cuvée made of Cabernet Sauvignon (80%) and Merlot (20%), which is matured in barriques. The Chardonnay is marketed every year with a new label, each adorned with a different flower from the region. Around 40,000 bottles of wine are produced annually.

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
