Synonym for the grape variety Blauer Portugieser; see there.

The red grape variety originates from Lower Styria (Austria-Hungary) in Slovenia, although the name incorrectly suggests Portugal. There are over a hundred synonyms; the most important grouped alphabetically by country are Autrichien, Portugais Bleu (France); Porthogese, Porthogese Nero, Porthogeze, Portoghese, Portoghese Nero (Italy); Early Burgundy (California); Crna Kraljevina, Imbrina, Portugizac Crni (Croatia); Badner, Badener, Feslauertraube, Garidelitraube, Portugieser, Portugieser Blau, Portugiesische, Vöslaner, Vöslauer (Austria); Perequita, Português Azul (Portugal); Modrý Portugal, Portugalkja, Portugalské Modré (Slovakia, Czech Republic); Modra Portugalk, Portugalka (Slovenia); Kékoportó (Hungary).
