The white grape variety (also New York 9936) is an interspecific new breed between Chasselas Rose x Mills, It became one of the eleven glacial lakes in the AVA area Finger Lakes (State of New York) named. The crossing of the hybrid took place in 1913 in the United States at the Grape Breeding Institute of Cornell University in Geneva by the breeder Richard Wellington. It was a crossing partner of the new breed Ruby (2). No inventory was shown in 2010 (Statistics Kym Anderson ).
