The white grape (also New York 9936) is an interspecific new breed between Chasselas Rose x Mills, She became one of the eleven glacial lakes in the AVA area Finger Lakes (New York State) named. The intersection of hybrid took place in 1913 in the United States at the Vine Breeding Institute of Cornell University in Geneva by the breeder Richard Wellington.
