Winery headquartered in Yianakohori (Naoussa) in the Greek region Macedonia, The origin is in 1970 when Yiannis Boutaris reactivated an old property and planted Xynomavro. At that time the owner was still a member of the Boutari Group, from which he separated in 1997 and managed the business autonomously under the current name (German: "Meister Yiannis"). The headquarters in Yianakohori in the appellation Naoussa covers 50 hectares of vineyards. A second winery was opened in 1985 in Aghios Panteleimon (not to be confused with the monastery Athos ) in the appellation Amynteo put into operation. This estate covers 17 hectares of vineyards.
