The winery is located in the municipality of Uelversheim (Nierstein area) in the German wine-growing region of Rheinhessen. The Kissinger family has been growing grapes here for over a hundred years, and the winery is run by Jürgen Kissinger. In 2000, the newly built estate building outside Uelversheim was occupied. The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vineyards in the single vineyard sites Kreuz, Schloss and Tafelstein (Dienheim), Herrenberg and Sackträger (Oppenheim), as well as Himmeltal (Guntersblum). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Silvaner, Chardonnay, Kerner, Müller-Thurgau, Scheurebe and Gewürztraminer, as well as with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Portugieser, Dornfelder and Frühburgunder. Natural, environmentally friendly viticulture is consistently practised. The wines are mostly matured dry in small wooden barrels. Sparkling wines are also produced.
