The white grape variety originates from Turkmenistan. Synonyms are Gulyabi, Gok Suvly and Kizil. The parentage is unknown. The variety is used as a winepress and table grape. It is cultivated in some former USSR states such as Russia and Turkmenistan. However, no stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
For my many years of work as an editor with a wine and culinary focus, I always like to inform myself about special questions at Wine lexicon. Spontaneous reading and following links often leads to exciting discoveries in the wide world of wine.
