The white grape variety comes from Slovenia. Synonyms are Klarna Mieja, Klarnca, Klarnitza and Mejina. The parentage (parenthood) is unknown. It produces aromatic, full-bodied white wines with a subtle strawberry aroma. The variety is grown in small quantities in the Vipavska Dolina area in the Primorska region and is used mainly for sparkling wines. However, no stocks were recorded in 2016 (statistics Kym Anderson).
