Klosterbergfelsen

single vineyard in the municipality of Varnhalt (Ortenau area) in the German wine-growing region of Baden. The south to west-northwest facing vineyards with slopes ranging from 0 to 45% cover 16 hectares of vineyards. The soils consist of crystalline volcanic tuff with sand. The varieties Riesling and Pinot Noir are cultivated here. The municipality of Varnhalt has the right to bottle the wines in Bocksbeutel. Shares in the vineyard are held, for example, by the wineries Kopp Johannes, Nägelsförst and Nieger Sven as well as members of the Varnhalt winegrowers' cooperative.
