The estate is located in the municipality of Endingen (Kaiserstuhl area) in the German wine-growing region to bathe
, It is owned by Thomas and Regina Rinker. In 1994 the Knab winery was bought. The vineyards cover 22 hectares of vineyards in the single vineyard Endinger Engelsberg. They are planted to 95% with the Pinot varieties Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Auxerrois as well as Chardonnay. There is consequently a natural, environmentally friendly management. Quality criteria in the vineyard are reduced yields and selective hand picking. The white wines are fermented in a steel tank under temperature control and are stored on the yeast long until shortly before bottling. After the maceration, the red wines mature in large wooden barrels or in barriques. As a special Kaiserstuhl experience, a vinological tour with a Unimog classic car is offered through the vineyards to the Amolterer Heide nature reserve. There is a video on this at www.stern / wine school / late burgundy. Contemporary art with numerous pictures by Regina Rinker (painter) is exhibited in the winery.
