Kokur Bely

The white grape variety comes from the Ukraine, Synonyms are Belji Dolgi, Dolgi, Kokour Blanc and Kokuri Belji. It is said that it was cultivated on the Crimean peninsula as early as the 14th or 15th century. According to Pierre Galet (1921-2019) it became from the Greek island Corfu (Kerkyra) introduced. The medium-ripening vine is susceptible to fungal diseases, especially wrong people mildew, The versatile variety is used for the production of dry to sweet matured still wines, sparkling wines, fortified wines, grape juice and table grapes used. It is on the Crimea widespread around Alushta and Feodosiya and on the Black Sea coast and occupied 918 hectares of vineyards in Ukraine in 2010.
