Krasnostop Zolotovsky

The red grape variety comes from Russia, Synonyms are Cherny Vinny, Krasnostop and Krasnostop Anapsky. Despite the apparently indicative synonym, it is not allowed with the variety Plechistik (Cherny Vinny) be confused. The medium-ripening vine is resistant to winter frost but prone to wrong people mildew, It produces red wines rich in tannins, acids and alcohol with aromas of plums, red currants and green pepper. The old variety was first mentioned in 1814. It is grown today in the Rostov region along the Don and Krasnodar rivers in the southwest of the country. The acreage in 2010 was 562 hectares.
