The winery is located in the municipality of Lambsheim (Mittelhaardt-Deutsche Weinstraße area) in the German wine-growing region of Pfalz. It was founded in 1984 and is managed by Harald Krauß. His son Lukas is responsible for the cellar technology. Since 2005, the winery has been a training centre for the profession of winemaker.

The vineyards cover ten hectares. They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Grüner Veltliner, Kerner, Müller-Thurgau, Scheurebe, Silvaner, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris, as well as with the red wine varieties Blauer Portugieser, Dornfelder, Schwarzriesling (Pinot Meunier) and Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir). Since 1993, the vineyards have been cultivated according to the guidelines of controlled environmentally friendly viticulture in Rhineland-Palatinate. The aim is to spare the beneficial insects and to promote biodiversity (variety of species). The wines are matured in steel tanks or in barriques, depending on the type of wine. Grape juice, bottle-fermented sparkling wine and secco (sparkling wine) are also produced. The winery is a member of the Generation Riesling association.
