Kreisberg

single vineyard in the municipality of Höhnstedt (Mansfeld Lakes area) in the German wine-growing region of Saale-Unstrut. It was established as a model vineyard in 1920. The south to southwest facing vineyards with slopes ranging from 15 to 40% cover 47 hectares of vineyards. The soils consist of low-skeleton loess loams over red sandstone. The varieties grown here include Pinot Blanc, Riesling and Kerner. The Born and Rollsdorfer Mühle wineries, for example, have shares in the site.
