Kreutles

Riede or Lage (also Kräutles) in the municipality of Unterloiben (part of Dürnstein ) in the Lower Austrian wine region Wachau at the foot of Loibenberg, The documentary name, which can be traced back to 1353, refers to former brushwood that had to be removed for use. It is one of the oldest vineyards in Wachau. The south-facing vineyards at 212 to 231 meters above sea level show only 6% slope Tilt and cover nine hectares of vineyards on soils interspersed with Schwemmlöss and weathering sand.
