Krkošija

The white grape variety comes from Bosnia-Herzegovina. Synonyms are Krkochia, Krkochia Chouplyca, Krkoshia, Krkošija Supljica and Kyrkochia. The parentage (parenthood) is unknown. It is an all-female grape variety, therefore it is dependent on cross-pollination by other vines. It is cultivated in the region of Mostar in the south of the country and serves mostly as a blends for the main Bosnian-Herzegovinian variety Žilavka. However, no stocks were recorded in 2016 (statistics Kym Anderson).
