Krötenpfuhl

single vineyard in the municipality of Bad Kreuznach in the German wine-growing region of Nahe. It has been known by this name since 1832. The south-facing vineyard at an altitude of 140 to 155 metres above sea level with a slope of 5 to 40% covers almost seven hectares of vineyards on loamy gravel soil with partly alluvial loess. Here, mainly the two varieties Riesling and Kerner are cultivated. The Anheuser Paul and Dönnhoff Hermann wineries, for example, have shares in the site.
