The estate is located in Assmannshausen in the German wine-growing region Rheingau, The traditional business has a history of more than 200 years. Today it is owned by the Wegeler-Drieseberg family. As Managing Director, Dr. Tom Drieseberg, responsible as estate manager Michael Burgdorf. The vineyards cover over five hectares of vineyards. The layers Höllenberg (VDP.GROSSE LOCATION) and Frankenthal (VDP.ERSTE LAGE) and Hinterkirch (all Assmannshausen) are with some 50-year-old Pinot Noir vines ( Pinot Noir ) planted from Burgundy. In a position Schönhell (Hallgarten) becomes Pinot Blanc ( Pinot Blanc ) and able Schlossberg (Lorch) old stocks with Riesling cultivated (both VDP.GROSSE LAGE). The wines are grown in a 60 meter natural rock cellar with almost 100% humidity expanded. Riesling and Pinot Noir Blanc de noirs are invariably fermented in steel. The Pinot Blanc fermented and aged in new barrels made from local oak. The red wines are predominantly aged in 300 liters of barriques and filled only after two years of maturation. The Pinot Noir from the Höllenberg comes after three years of bottle maturity on the market, the icon wine JUWEL after four years. The winery is a member of VDP (Verband deutscher Prädikatsweingüter).
