The estate is located in the commune of Husseren-les-Châteaux near Colmar in the French wine-growing region Alsace
, It was founded in 1795 by Joseph Kuentz. It was renamed in 1919 to the present name. The vineyards cover 17 hectares of vineyards in various locations. It cultivates the Grand Cru varieties Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Muscat d'Alsace (Muscat Blanc) and Pinot Gris, as well as Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir. The wines under the AC Alsace Grand Cru
come from the locations Eichberg
in the municipality Eguisheim. The Vendanges Tardives (late vintage) are marketed under "Cuvée Caroline", the Sélection Grains Nobles (Trockenbeerenauslese from noble rot berries) under "Cuvée Jeremy".
