The estate is located in the commune of Husseren-les-Châteaux near Colmar in the French wine-growing region Alsace
, It was founded by Joseph Kuentz in 1795. It was renamed in 1919 to its current name. The vineyards cover 17 hectares of vineyards in different locations. The Grand Cru varieties Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Muscat d'Alsace (Muscat Blanc) and Pinot Gris, as well as Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir are cultivated. The wines under the AC Alsace Grand Cru
come from the locations Eichberg
in the municipality of Eguisheim. The Vendanges Tardives (late harvest) are marketed under "Cuvée Caroline", the Sélection Grains Nobles (dry berries from noble rotten berries) under "Cuvée Jeremy".
