Franmara offers the product "Label Saver" to replace the labels of wine bottles, which are often coveted by collectors. It is a transparent film, with the adhesive-coated side on the label put on plan and then carefully pulled off. If used properly, the label can be removed without damage. The disadvantage of this method is that the labels can darken over time due to the adhesive. A second method is to heat the bottles in the oven for about ten minutes with circulating air at 120 ° Celsius and then replace the label with a sharp knife. In a third method, the bottles are filled to above the edge of the label with hot water. The filled bottles are then placed in a tall saucepan filled with hot water and heated until the water is lightly simmered. If the temperature inside and outside is comparably high, remove the bottle from the saucepan. The label must now be allowed to dry completely for a short time. Then it can then be removed relatively easily from the bottle without impairment.
