The red grape variety is a new breed between Black Morocco x Muscat d'Alexandrie according to 2013 DNA analysis, The fatherhood of Sweetwater ( Chasselas ) proved to be wrong. Synonyms include Emil Royal Chernyi, Lady Downe's, Lady Downe's Black Seedling and Lady Daun's Sidling. The crossing took place in 1835 in England by M. Foster. The variety is called table grape used.
