Lämmler

single vineyard in the municipality of Fellbach (Remstal-Stuttgart area) in the German growing region of Württemberg. The name presumably refers to the name of the Lämmle family, who owned the historic original site of only three hectares for centuries. In its current size, it was created during the land consolidation in 1971 and is therefore inhomogeneous. The southwest to south-facing vineyards with slopes ranging from 10 to 50% cover 62 hectares of vineyards. The soils consist of weathered Keuper, reed sandstone, coloured marl and sandy loam. The varieties grown here include Riesling, Lemberger (Blaufränkisch), Trollinger (Schiava Grossa) and Pinot Noir. The wineries Aldinger Gerhard, Fellbacher Weingärtner, Heid Markus and Schnaitmann, for example, have shares in the site.
