Lamb-Jung

The estate is located in Erbach, a district of Eltville in the German growing area Rheingau, It was created in 1947 from the wineries Lamm and Jung by the marriage of Anna Maria Lamm and Christoph Jung. At that time it was still a classic mixed farm with fruit and viticulture. Josef Jung specialized in wine from the 1970s onwards. Since 1996 the company is run by Andreas Jung. The vineyards cover eight hectares of vineyards in the layers Hohenrain, Honey mountain, Michel Mark and Steinmorgen (Erbach), as well Sandgrub (Kiedrich). They are planted to 80% with Riesling, and to 20% with Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer and Pinot Noir. It is consistently environmentally friendly viticulture with greening the vines, abandonment insecticides, Use of pheromones practiced for grape moth-fighting and needs-based organic-mineral fertilization. The red wines are aged in large wooden barrels. The Riesling wines are gently pressed and fermented cool to preserve the aroma.
