The estate is located in the municipality of Saulheim (Nierstein area) in the German wine-growing region Rheinhessen, It is owned by winemaker Bernd Landgraf and his wife Johanna. Son Dipl. Ing. Andre Landgraf has been responsible for the cellar since 2006 after studying viticulture and oenology and practice in South Africa. The vineyards cover 16 hectares of vineyards in the Saulheimer individual layers Haubenberg, Hölle, Heiligenhaus and Schlossberg. They are planted with the white varieties Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Silvaner and Müller-Thurgau, as well as with the red varieties Pinot Noir, Portuguese, Dornfelder, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. There is a natural, environmentally friendly management with, for example, no chemical-synthetic pesticides and fertilizers. The fermentation takes place with natural yeasts, no fining agents are used. The wines are marketed in the Gutsweine, Ortsweine and Lagenweine lines.
