The estate is located in the municipality of Oberwesel in the German wine-growing region middle Rhine
, It has been family-owned for over 200 years and has been managed by Jörg Lanius since 1992. The vineyards cover seven hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Amber
(Engehöll), as well Oelsberg
(Upper Wesel). They are planted with the white varieties Riesling (85%) and Müller-Thurgau (5%), and Pinot Noir (10%). In the vineyard, for example, natural viticulture is included greening
practiced with wild herbs that are only mulched. The wines are aged for two months in steel tanks with natural yeasts spontaneous
