Late Benjamin

The estate is located in the municipality Großkrut in the northeast of the Lower Austrian wine region Weinviertel, It was developed in the early 1980s by dr. Monika and Dr. Heribert Späth founded. After his training at the HBLA Klosterneuburg , the company has been run since the summer of 2005 by their son Benjamin Späth. The vineyards cover ten hectares of vineyards in the vineyards Lissen, Tiefenthal, Wartberg and Wiesbergen. They are planted to 70% with the white varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Welschriesling, and to 30% with the red varieties Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and St. Laurent. The environmentally friendly management is carried out according to the guidelines of the KIP (Controlled Integrated Production). The quality standard is based on strict yield restriction, hand picking and careful grape processing according to the principle of slope utilization from top to bottom. Depending on the desired style, the wines are aged in steel tanks, large oak barrels or barriques and bottled at the optimum time. The premium wines include various Weinviertel DAC (Grüner Veltliner), mixed set Alter Weingarten, Zweigelt Classic and the red wine cuvée "bin 341" (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir).
