Lentsch Franz

The winery is located in the municipality Podersdorf in Burgenland wine region Neusiedlersee (Austria). It is run by Franz and Elisabeth Lentsch. The vineyards cover 11 hectares of vines, which are planted to 50% with the red varieties Blaufränkisch , Zweigelt and St. Laurent, and the white varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Welschriesling, Scheurebe and Gewürztraminer. Depending on the type of wine, the wines are aged in large oak barrels or barriques. The premium wines include, for example, the red wine cuvée "Remanenz" (Zweigelt, St. Laurent, Blaufränkisch ), the white wine cuvée "Rohrjoch" (Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris), as well as the varietal wines of St. Laurent Reserve and Blaufränkisch Lüss. In weather-appropriate years also Trockenbeerenauslese and ice wines are pressed. Every year around 60,000 bottles of wine are produced.
