Lentsch Franz

The estate is located in the municipality of Podersdorf in the Neusiedlersee wine-growing region in Burgenland (Austria). It is managed by Franz and Elisabeth Lentsch. The vineyards cover 11 hectares of vineyards, each with 50% with the red varieties Blaufränkisch , Zweigelt and St. Laurent, as well as the white varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Welschriesling, Scheurebe and Gewürztraminer. Depending on the type of wine, the wines are aged in large wooden barrels or in barriques. The premium wines include, for example, the red wine cuvée "Remanenz" (Zweigelt, St. Laurent, Blaufränkisch ), the white wine cuvée "Rohrjoch" (Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris), as well as the single wines St. Laurent Reserve and Blaufränkisch Lüss. When the weather is good, dry berries and ice wines are also pressed. Around 60,000 bottles of wine are produced annually.
