Lentsch Josef

The winery "Josef Lentsch - Gratitude" is located in the municipality Podersdorf am See in Burgenland wine region Lake Neusiedl (Austria). Attached is the existing since generations "Inn for Gratitude". The company is managed by Josef and Heidi Lentsch. The vineyards cover 5.5 hectares, of which four hectares are managed by long-term contract growers. The soils consist mainly of sand and gravel with sometimes thin humus layers. It is used to 70% of the white varieties Welschriesling, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Muscat Ottonel, as well as to 30% of the red varieties Blauburgunder, Zweigelt and St. Laurent processed. Premium wines are for example Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Trockenbeerenauslese and the red wine cuvée "To Gratitude" (Pinot Noir, St. Laurent, Zweigelt) and varietal wines from Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. Every year around 30,000 bottles of wine are produced. Bottle-fermented sects and brandies are also produced.
