The estate is located in the municipality Hainfeld (area Southern Wine Route) in the German wine-growing region palatinate, The family history goes back to the year 1538. A Gutsrestaurant "Landhaus Herrenberg" is connected. The operation is led by Stefan and Jürgen Lergenmüller. The vineyards cover about 85 hectares of vineyards with over 300 individual plots over a length of ten kilometers along the wine route from Godramstein to Rhodt. They are planted with the red varieties Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, Portuguese, Merlot, St. Laurent and Cabernet Sauvignon, and the white varieties Pinot Gris, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Müller-Thurgau, Scheurebe, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Sylvaner, Kerner and Muscat. Only healthy, fully ripe grapes are fermented after careful pressing temperature controlled.

The red wines are fermented traditionally on the mash. The wines are mainly dry. On layer names will be omitted. "Terroir wines" are the red wine cuvées Philip L. and LP, the red wines Merlot red clay, Pinot Noir Angiolino, Cabernet Sauvignon and St. Laurent Urgestein, as well as the white wines Chardonnay pure mineral, Pinot Blanc Muschelkalk, Pinot Gris Buntsandstein and Sauvignon Blanc Flint produced. Other wines are under the name "Cépages". It also produces bottle-fermented sect. In 1998 the winery was St. Annaberg (Burrweiler). In 2013, the acquisition of Castle Reinhartshausen (Eltville-Lauterbach). All three companies are managed independently.
