The white grape variety is an interspecific new breed between Carter (Isabella seedling) x White Chasselas ( Chasselas ). Synonyms are Lindli, Rogers 9 and Rogers Hybrid 9. They are genes from Vitis labrusca and Vitis vinifera contain. The crossing of the hybrid was done in 1862 by the American breeder ES Rogers in Salem, Massachusetts. The red berry vine was named in honor of the English botanist John Lindley (1799-1865), who is considered the "father of orchid science". It is a pure female grape, therefore it is on pollination reliant. She was a crossing partner in the new breeding brilliant, The variety is called wine press and table grape used. No stocks were shown in 2010 (Kym Anderson ).
