Little Julius

The estate is located in the municipality Pernersdorf in the Lower Austrian wine region Weinviertel. Since 1788 all family leaders have been named Julius in the traditional family business. He is led today by Erika and Julius Klein. The vineyards cover 14 hectares of vineyards in, for example, the vineyards Johannisberg, Rustenberg, Steinbergen and cradle. They are planted to 70% with the white varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurztraminer and Muscat, and to 30% with the red varieties Zweigelt, St. Laurent, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The wines mature in the over 300 years old vaulted cellar. For example, the premium wines include Weinviertel DAC Rustenberg and Weinviertel DAC Wiege (both Grüner Veltliner), the Grüner Veltliner "Tethys" named after the primeval sea, as well as Gewürztraminer and the red wine cuvée "Johannisberg". It is also produced Frizzante. The winery is a member of the vintners associations Wineries Retzer Land and Premium wineries Weinviertel,
