Ljutun

The red variety comes from Croatia, Synonyms are Ljutac, Plavac and Plavac Bedalovac. The name derives from the acid-rich berries (the Croatian ljut means acid). The late-ripening vine is generally resistant to many vine diseases. It is grown exclusively in the Kastela area west of Split. There she is mostly with the varieties Babic. Babica and Plavac Mali blended. In 2010, however, no stocks were reported (Kym Anderson ).
