DOC area for white wines in the Italian region of Apulia. The zone includes the municipality of Locorotondo in the province of Bari, and Cisternino and parts of Fasano in the province of Brindisi. The area is famous for its round stone dwellings known as "trulli". The vineyards cover more than 80 hectares. The Locorotondo is produced from Verdeca (zum. 50%), Bianco d'Alessano (max. 35%), as well as other authorised varieties. There are also the Superiore and Riserva types, as well as a Spumante and a Passito. The pure variety wines must contain at least 85% of the respective variety, these are Bianco d'Alessano, Fiano and Verdeca.
