The winery is located in the municipality Bad Kreuznach-Bosenheim in the German growing area Near, It was founded in the 1950s by Heinrich and Erna Lorenz as a mixed operation. The management of the vineyards is done in laborious manual labor. The wines are vinified varietal and origin typical. There is a large range of products due to the many grape varieties. The red wines go through a classic maceration, in the case of white wines, a mash period is sometimes used. The premium wines include Riesling Kreuznacher Brückes and Riesling Roxheimer Berg (maceration time), as well as the red wine Cuvée Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot (16 months in oak barrels). Every year around 100,000 bottles of wine are produced and 4,000 go to the Netherlands. There are also grape juices, brandies (Merlot, grapes Gewürztraminer) produced. The winery is a member of the Jungwinzervereinigung Nahe 7 and Generation Riesling.
