The estate is located in the municipality of Erden (Bernkastel area) in the German wine-growing region Moselle
, The family has been growing wine for several generations. A guest house is connected. The company is run by winemaker Klaus Lotz. The vineyards cover 5.5 hectares of vineyards in the mostly steep slopes Bußlay, Herrenberg
(Earth), as well Försterlay
(Losnich). They are mainly planted with the Riesling, as well as the varieties Kerner, Müller-Thurgau, Dornfelder and Pinot Noir. The aim is to vinify excellent wines with a lot of fruit - and above all unmistakable slate minerality. In suitable years also noble sweet Trockenbeerenauslese and ice wines are pressed. Bottle-fermented sects, brandies (yeast, pomace) and liqueurs (peaches, grapes) are also produced.
