Lützkendorf

The estate is located in the Bad Kösen community in the German wine-growing region Saale-Unstrut, The founder Lützkendorf cultivated two hectares until 1959, before his business was incorporated into an agricultural cooperative. His son Udo was then in the former state-owned and today state winery Pforta Monastery worked as cellar master and director from 1972 to 1992. In 1991 the family got their vineyards back. The founding grandson Uwe Lützkendorf made extensive investments in the revitalization and construction of manor buildings. The vineyards cover 11 hectares of vineyards in individual locations Edelacker (Frey Burg), High bones (Karsdorf) and Pfortenser Köppelberg (Naumburg). You are with the white wines Sylvaner (one third), Riesling, Pinot Blanc ( Pinot Noir ) Traminer. Müller-Thurgau and Kerner, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir ( Pinot Noir ) Portuguese and Zweigelt planted. It becomes natural, environmentally friendly viticulture with permanent greenery and without herbicides practiced. The wines are matured very reductively depending on the type of wine in stainless steel or wooden barrels. They are mainly developed in a classic dry manner. The winery is a member of VDP,
