The estate is located in the municipality of Bad Kösen in the German wine-growing region Saale-Unstrut, Until 1959, the founder Lützkendorf managed two hectares before its operation was affiliated to an agricultural cooperative. His son Udo was then in the former state-owned and now national winery Monastery Pforta from 1972 to 1992 as cellarmaster and director. In 1991, the family got back their vineyards. The founding grandson Uwe Lützkendorf made extensive investments in the renewal and construction of estate buildings. The vineyards cover 11 hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Edelacker (Frey Burg), High bone (Karsdorf) and Pfortenser Köppelberg (Naumburg). They are with the white wine varieties Sylvaner (one third), Riesling, Pinot Blanc ( Pinot Noir ) Traminer. Müller-Thurgau and Kerner, as well as the red varieties Pinot Noir ( Pinot Noir ) Portuguese and Zweigelt planted. It is natural, environmentally friendly viticulture with permanent greening and abandonment herbicides practiced.
