single vineyard (also Maushöhle) in the municipality of Deidesheim (Mittelhaardt-Deutsche Weinstraße area) in the German wine-growing region of Pfalz. The vineyards, which face south to south-east, are 125 to 200 metres above sea level with a slope of up to 25% and cover 30 hectares of vineyards. They are protected from the wind by the Haardt Mountains to the west. The soils consist of stony red sandstone rubble in the topsoil with a low percentage of fine soil, as well as sandstone rock in the subsoil and occasional limestone weathering. The Riesling and Pinot Blanc varieties are mainly cultivated here. The wineries Acham-Magin, Bassermann-Jordan, Bergdolt St. Lamprecht, Christmann Arnold, Kimich, Mosbacher Georg, Reichsrat von Buhl and Weingut von Winning, for example, have shares in the site.
