Malvasia Aromatica di Parma

The white grape variety may come from California, Synonyms are Muscadelle, Muscadelle you Bordelais and Muscadelle of California. It is one of the many mostly unrelated varieties with name part Malvasia (look there). She may not with the French variety Muscadelle (with the synonym Muscadelle de Bordelais). According to done in 2013 DNA analysis it is a crossing or perhaps a new breed between Muscat Blanc and an unknown partner. However, this is based on only 20 DNA markers (see under molecular Genetics ). Whether it's a relationship to the Italian variety Malvasia Odorosissima (with the synonym Malvasia Aromatica di Parma) is not known.
