Single location in the municipality Dirmstein (area Mittelhaardt-German Wine Route) in the German wine-growing region palatinate
, It was first mentioned in 1557 as "on the almond path". Here there used to be used almond trees, which still partly shape the landscape today. The oriented south to southeast vineyards in 120 meters above sea level with 10 to 15% slope cover 160 hectares of vineyards. The profound soils consist of a loess overlay with fine earth interspersed with limestone; the ground is dominated by limestone.
