DOC area for red wine and rosé wine in the Italian region Sardinia, The zone is located in the very center of the island and includes the municipalities of Atzara, Desulo, Meana Sardo, Ortueri, Sorgono and Tonara in the province of Nuoro, and the municipality of Samugheo in the province of Oristano. The wine is made from bovale = Graciano (to 35%), Cannonau logo CNRS logo INIST Garnacha Tinta (20-35%), Monica Nera (20-35%), as well as other approved varieties (max 10%) blended. There are the wine types Rosso, Rosso Superiore (with longer maturation and higher alcohol content) and Rosato.
