Manzoni Moscato

This red grape variety is a new cross between Raboso Veronese x Muscat d'Hamburg. Synonyms are IM 13.0.25, Incrocio Manzoni 13.0.25 and Manzoni 13.0.25. The cross was made by the breeder Luigi Manzoni (1888-1968) in the early 1930s at the viticultural institute of Conegliano in Veneto (Italy). The late-maturing, high-yielding vine is resistant to powdery mildew. It yields light, fresh red wines. The variety is mainly cultivated in the Veneto region in the province of Treviso in smaller quantities. In 2016, 19 hectares of vines were designated (Kym Anderson).
