Manzoni Moscato

The red grape variety is a new breed between Raboso Veronese x Muscat d'Hamburg, Synonyms are IM 13.0.25, Incrocio Manzoni 13.0.25 and Manzoni 13.0.25. The cross was made by the breeder Luigi Manzoni (1888-1968) at the Weinbauinstitut in the early 1930s Conegliano in Veneto ( Italy ). The late ripening, productive vine is resistant to real ones mildew, It produces light, fresh red wines. The variety is mainly found in the region Veneto grown in smaller quantities in the province of Treviso. In 2010, a stock with 20 hectares of vineyards was shown (Statistics Kym Anderson ).
