Marcillac

The appellation is located in the northeast of the winegrowing region Southwest France, The former VDQS area was classified in 1990. The vineyards cover 160 hectares of vineyards. The red wine is blended from the autochthonous variety Fer Servadou (at least 90%), Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. In small quantities, a rose is produced. Well-known producers are Domaine du Cros and Domaine Laurens.
