The winery is located in the municipality Göttlesbrunn in the Lower Austrian wine region Carnuntum, It was founded in 1950 by Johann and Katharina Markowitsch under the name "Marko's Weine" as a trading company with its own vineyards. From 1975 it was managed by Hans Markowitsch and his wife Monika. It has been run by Lukas Markowitsch in the third family generation since 1998, supported by his brother Johann. Lukas Markowitsch previously gained experience on study trips through France, Italy, California, Australia and New Zealand.
