Mattinson Campbell

The Australian wine journalist Campbell Mattinson (*1968) initially worked for a stock trading company in England, as a dishwasher and as a telephone book corrector. In 1987 he began his wine career as a journalist, editor, publisher, freelance writer and wine critic. Mattinson is the editor of James Halliday's Wine Companion Magazine, founder and editor of the Australian Sommelier Magazine and publisher of the website "The Wine Front". His biography of Australian wine pioneer Maurice O'Shea, entitled "Wine Hunter", was rated by author James Halliday as "one of the most remarkable wine books". Other books by him are "Why the French hate us: The Fight to Save Australian Wine" (2007), "The Big Red Wine Book" (3rd edition 2010) and "Thin Skins: Why the French Hate Australian Wine" (2011).
