The red grape variety comes from France, Synonyms are Feuille Ronde, Mauzac Noir du Lot et Garonne and Mauzac Rouge. You may not with the morphological similar, hardly cultivated variety Negro Castrais be confused. The parentage is unknown. There is no relation to the white variety Mauzac Blanc, but a close genetic relationship to the variety Fer, The medium-ripening, low-yielding vine produces light red, fruity red wines. She is in the fields Fronton and Gaillac in Southwest France cultivated and expanded by individual producers. In 2010, however, no inventory was reported.
