The estate is located in the community Langenlonsheim in the German wine-growing region Near, The family is located here since 1859. The name "Winery Mayor" goes back to the grandfather of today's owner Axel Schweinhardt, who was mayor in Langenlonsheim from 1946 to 1969. In 1968, the estate was taken over by Wilhelm Schweinhardt, who made extensive renovations. Son Axel has been running the business since 2007.
