The winery is located in the municipality of Gau-Köngernheim (Gau-Odernheim, Nierstein area) in the German wine-growing region of Rheinhessen. The family settled here as early as 1696. The farm is run by Frank Meiser. An estate tavern and a guest house are attached. The vineyards cover 30 hectares in the single vineyard sites Römerberg and Rotenfels (Alzey), Hasensprung (Bechtheim), Vogelsang (Gau-Köngernheim), as well as Kapellenberg and Kirchenstück (Weinheim). They are 70% planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Weißer Burgunder, Grauer Burgunder, Chardonnay, Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, Bacchus, Scheurebe and Huxelrebe, and 30% with the red wine varieties Spätburgunder, Frühburgunder, Portugieser and Dornfelder. The white wines are matured in steel tanks, the red wines traditionally in large wooden barrels or in new barriques. Noble sweet wines are a speciality of the house. The winery is a member of the winegrowers' associations Junge Winzer Rheinhessen and Message in a Bottle.

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
