Mennas

The white grape variety is a new breed between Gewurztraminer x Gouais blanc, The crossing took place in 1986 by the breeder Hans-Peter Baumann in the municipality Visp (Haut-Valais) in the Switzerland, The medium to late ripening vine yields aromatic white wines with moderate acidity and aromas to Lychée, roses and marzipan. It is exclusively from the winery Diroso in the canton Wallis grown on 0.2 hectares.
