The estate is located in St. Peter in the municipality of Bozen in the wine-growing region South-Tirol (Region Trentino-Alto Adige ). The "Messnerhof" has been family-owned for a century. Renting an apartment is also available. As a previously pure grape producer, the wines themselves have been vinified and marketed since 2003. The business is run by the owner Bernhard Pichler. The vineyards cover three hectares in the locations of St. Peter, Missian and Gries. They are available with the white varieties Sauvignon Blanc and Gewürztraminer, as well as with the red varieties Vernatsch ( schiava ) with some 85-year-old vines), noble black ( Negrara Trentina ), G'salzne, G'schlafne ( Rossara Trentina?) Cabernet Sauvignon. Merlot. Petit Verdot. Tempranillo and Syrah planted.

The grapes are carefully processed into wine and bottled in a manual manner. The product range includes the four South Tyrol DOC wines Terlaner Sauvignon and Gewürztraminer, St. Magdalener Classico and Lagrein Riserva, as well as the two IGT wines "Belleus" (red wine cuvèe) and "Mos Maiorum" (St. Magdalener according to old fathers custom). Depending on the type of wine, the wines are aged in steel tanks, in large wooden barrels up to 2,400 liters, in 500-liter tonneau or in barriques. A specialty is a Rebstock sponsorship offered. The winery is a member of the associations Free wine growers in South Tyrol, Lorenzinacht, Federazione Italiana Vignaioli Indipendenti, Confédération Européenne des Vignerons Indépendants and South Tyrolean Wine Route.
